Before you start taking Cosentyx

Your healthcare team is there to support you and help you get the most out of your treatment, but it’s important that you play a role in your health and treatment plan too.
Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind:

  • Ask questions – no matter what the topic, your healthcare team are professionals and want to help, so ask away
  • Take note – if you have questions, it may be useful to write them down in the ‘Notes’ section at the end of the Your guide to treatment with Cosentyx booklet so that you remember to ask them at your next appointment. You can download a copy of this booklet from the Your Resources section of this website or call us on 1800 023 826 to order one
  • Record your consultation – if you find it difficult to remember information from your consultation, take notes or record the consultation on a smartphone. Or, ask a family member or friend to come with you to appointments
  • Enlist help – living with a long-term condition can be challenging, but you’re not alone. There are many places you can get support, so talk to your healthcare team about how they can help you
  • Set a reminder – set a reminder on your smart device or sign-up for Altogether You treatment reminders
  • Monitor your progress – keep track of how you feel in a journal or diary and take it to your appointments to help your healthcare team monitor your progress and help you achieve your goals
